holiday events

Saturday was the 11th annual Children's Christmas Parade downtown.  The stars of the show, besides Santa himself, are the Tap Dancing Christmas Trees.  They tap the entire route of the parade from 11th to 20th Street.   Even though they must have been chilled to the bone, they looked like they were having fun.  The gray and cold of the day kind of vanished as they performed.  Hmm, I think I want to be a tapping tree when I grow up.

  3. hee hee...
    Why grow up?
«Louis» has been accused of refusing to grow up, so he just goes with the flow... Nonetheless, you might get away with being a dancing tree, but somehow the image of «Louis» being a dancing anything causes brain damage...

  5. I like the idea of a Children's Parade. Our southern parades involved beauty pageant winners (from age 0 to 21), old cars, and horses. The horses can stay, the rest is a bit dull. Of course, I could be wrong.

  6. That is pretty darned cute. I don't think growing up is a requirement to be a dancing tree.

  7. That's hilarious! And they don't even drop their needles. The best we got in parades is a close-order drill team wielding lawn chairs.
